40 Million Adults in the US are struggling with Anxiety. Sadly, less than 40% of them will end up getting treatment.
2.8 Billion people, or 33.7% of the world’s population suffer with Anxiety
19.1% of Adults had an anxiety disorder last year.
Women are 60% more likely than men to experience Anxiety during their lifetime.

Everyone experiences both Stress and Anxiety at some point during their lives. How do you know the difference?
Stress is typically a short term event that is caused by an external event such as working towards an immediate deadline at work. Once the project is completed, the sensations of stress will usually pass.
When you experience a lot of long term stress in your daily life it can lead to Anxiety, which is how you react to stress.
It is often experienced as an intense feeling of dread or apprehension that occurs during situations that are not threatening. Unlike stress, when the situation causing your anxiety passes, the sensations do not go away.
Sensations can range from feeling fretful or nervous in a new situation, to a full blown panic attack. When people have their first panic attack they report feeling as if they are “dying” or “having a heart attack because they experience severe chest pains.
Physical sensations include headaches, stomach aches, diarrhea and a decrease in libido.
Emotional symptoms can include an inability to concentrate, restlessness, panic attacks and a feeling that something bad is going to happen no matter what you do to avoid it.
Studies have shown that Talk Therapy can help you reduce chronic stress and debilitating anxiety. There are many studies on Neuroplasticity (Brain Plasticity) suggesting that by utilizing Guided Imagery, Mindful Meditation, and Hypnosis regularly it can physically rewire your brain. The changes in your brain can be seen on various brain scans.
With this in mind, during our sessions I’ll be working on teaching you various techniques to help you reduce your anxiety. If you practice them at times when you aren’t overly stressed you will be able to utilize them when you are really struggling.
On our first session I’ll give you a link to an MP3 that I made for my patients. It is an hypnotic stress management exercise. You’ll work with this at night before you go to sleep to help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep. The more you practice with the exercises on the MP3 as well as ones I’ll teach you during our sessions, the more powerful they will become.
You will also learn very simple breath techniques that can be done at work, in the car, or during any stressful situation to trigger your body into relaxing. Now this does take time, and you need to practice but my patients have gotten a lot of relief from this technique, especially if they can’t meditate every day.
I will also begin teaching you how to meditate. Studies show within 4 months of daily meditation or stress management relaxation methods, the brain looks totally different. These techniques also help you reduce your anxiety and adjust your “happiness set point ” (see video).
All of these techniques are designed to work with me in person, on online sessions when you are alone.
