Since I do not work with insurance companies my fee is someone lower than many providers with a PhD and over 25 years of experience.
I offer a sliding fee of $60-$80 for a one hour session.
The short answer is NO.
Like many therapists these days, I am OUT-OF-NETWORK for ALL insurance companies.
In other words, I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM INSURANCE COMPANIES. You will need to pay me the full amount at each session.
Because of this, I am able to offer you a sliding fee scale so that you can chose an amount that will work within your budget. When you accept payment from insurance companies, adjusting your fee is considered insurance fraud.
In addition to offering a sliding scale, I can also offer you confidentiality. When you have an insurance company pay a portion of your therapy you are allowing them to ask me specific questions about your issues and treatment. Which mean some 18 year old may be typing into a computer all of the emotional baggage you are struggling to come to grips with-and asking me detailed questions about it.
My last appointment is at 6 pm. However, if you need to meet a little later I am happy to accommodate you if I can.
Each session is 60 minutes long. We typically work actively for 55 minutes. The last 5 minutes I may sum out what we have discovered, give you homework when appropriate, and discuss goals and timing for out next appointment .
Payment is required at the beginning or end of each session.
I accept Venmo or SQUARE.
Venmo is an app for your phone that will instantly transfer money to another individual.
Yes!
I typically work Wednesday – Sunday but if you cannot meet me during those days, I will open up a Monday/Tuesday if that is the only time we can meet. Most of my clients prefer to work on the weekends so they don’t miss work.
Typically that depends on you. Most of my patients come every other week, due to financial constraints. Some prefer to come in once a week.
Whenever you feel ready, we will decrease the number of session per month as you get closer to finishing treatment.
I require 24 hours for you to cancel an appointment.
If you forget we were to meet I bill you for the amount your normally pay for your sessions.
However if you are ill or there has been an emergency, just let me know as soon as possible and there won’t be a charge for a missed appointment.
